4th October, 2008 - Bandh in Beena town in MP

A BJP Lok Sabha MP got the taste of his own medicine after being beaten up by Railway Protection Forces in Beena town in MP. The MP, Virendra Kumar was critically injured when a group of RPF personnel surrounded him and caned him in full public view when he tried to stop an ongoing drive to demolish illegal shops. Now what he has to do with this illegal encroachment is a question that the enquiry will reveal but once he regains his composure, he will certainly know what common people get from the policemen on a day to day basis. But to protest this, there is a bandh in Beena and its adjoining areas. Some railways properties may be targetted. Avoid railway station today.
