11th June, 2008 - Darjeeling Bandh continues

On Wednesday, the second consecutive day of the indefinite bandh called by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha in Darjeeling straded the tourists as they started fleeing.Dont know what the morcha will do once they are given statehood. Now even areas with less than 5000 population are asking for statehood as if they are going to attain heaven.The morcha supporters are forcefully restricting the movement of transport. The bandh supporters have forcibly closed all hotels and restaurants.
