26th June, 2008 : VHP Wants Army Rule but only in Kashmir

Various right wing Hindu organizations have called for Jammu Bandh Thursday in protest against the ongoing agitation in Kashmir valley against the diversion of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has given the Jammu bandh call while other affiliated organizations, Bajrang Dal, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena have supported the bandh call.The demand is that since situation in the valley is volatile and Army should be given the charge.
