Whether Congress has betrayed the people of Telangana is a matter that only people in this particular regions knows. But it it taken granted by TRS who have given a call for Telangana bandh on July 19 as the culmination of its five-day protest programme to ‘expose’ the Congress for betraying the people of Telangana after promising them a separate State. Party president K Chandrasekhar Rao announced with great pride that the party cadre would organise prayers in temples, churches and mosques on July 15, ‘rasta roko’ in Assembly constituencies on July 16, demonstrations before the houses of Congress MPs in the region on July 17 and boycott of colleges on July 18.
