20th July, 2008 - Imphal Bandh continues

Abduction of three Muslim youths by police commandos from Loklaobung on July 12 and their brutal torture is the reason for a general strike in the Thoubal district beginning July 19, 6pm to July 21, 6pm. In a meeting at Lilong bazaar on the issue, a resolution had been drawn up demanding among other things the dismissal from service the involved police commandos.
