24th July, 2008 - Hartal ordeal in Kerala continues

If there was a Nobel for hartals, it would have gone to CPI(M) since they have called yet another day long hartal in Thalassery assembly constituency limits and nearby Mahe enclave of Puducherry to protest the murder of a party activist. CPI(M) worker U K Saleem was stabbed to death, allegedly by activists of National Development Front, a Kerala-based Muslim outfit, at New Mahe area near Thalassery last night after a clash between the CPI(M) and NDF workers over pasting of party posters.
